If It’s Not Clear, It’s Not Working

Why Your Website & Brand Copy Might Be Losing You Sales

Let’s start with a gut-check:

When someone lands on your website or reads your IG bio...
Do they immediately know:

  • Who you are

  • What you do

  • Who it’s for

  • And why they should care?

If the answer is “well… kinda?”
Then congratulations—your copy might be the reason they’re not clicking, booking, or buying.

Respectfully:
If it’s not clear, it’s not converting.

Clarity Is the New Sexy

You don’t need to be poetic.
You don’t need to sound like a thought leader™.
You don’t need to shove 18 niche terms into one sentence to prove you know your sh*t.

You just need to be clear.

Because clarity builds trust.
And trust is what makes people take action.

Here's How Confusing Copy is Screwing You Over:

🔻 People bounce instead of book.
They don’t understand what you’re offering, so they leave.

🔻 You're attracting the wrong people.
If your messaging is vague or too generic, you're not calling in your dream clients—you’re calling in everyone and no one.

🔻 You're working harder to explain yourself.
If your website doesn't speak clearly for you, you have to do it over and over again. Exhausting.

So Why Is It So Hard to Be Clear?

Because most of us are way too close to our own work.

We over-explain.
We overthink.
We use “industry speak” instead of real talk.
We try to sound clever instead of human.

But clarity > cleverness. Every time.

Here’s What Clear Brand Copy Actually Sounds Like:

🚫 “I help visionary changemakers unlock their full potential through intuitive strategy.”
✅ “I help small biz owners clarify their message and build a bold, memorable brand.”

🚫 “Empowering clients to embrace alignment through authentic storytelling.”
✅ “I write words that help your dream clients say, ‘Oh hell yes.’”

🚫 “I offer a range of services tailored to your needs.”
✅ “Here’s exactly what I do and how you can work with me.”

Quick Fixes to Make Your Copy Convert:

1. Lead with the problem you solve.

Don’t start with “Welcome to my website.”
Start with the transformation you create.

2. Use words your clients actually use.

Not what you say in your head. What they say when they're venting in the DMs.

3. Get specific AF.

The more niche and clear, the more your people will feel like you see them.

4. Cut the fluff.

If it doesn’t serve your message or move people to act—delete it.

5. Add a CTA everywhere.

Every page. Every scroll. Every vibe. Tell people what to do next.

TL;DR:

If people don’t get what you do within seconds, they’re gone.
You can’t convert confused people.
And your dream clients aren’t going to chase clarity. They’ll move on.

So say what you do. Say who it’s for. Say it clearly.
And say it in your damn voice.
